Just a quick post to let everyone know we made it here to Quito! It was a long journey and we arrived really tired and late in the afternoon. We had a very non-Ecuadorian first meal at an American style bar (nachos and fries) as we were too tired to go any further than across the road. Our hostel has some nice views though and we woke up today to a great breakfast for only $3.5.
The next morning we did a walking tour of Quito and saw the sights, we also went to a local market for lunch where we sampled some amazing pork, it was so good we ordered a dish to share straight away which was only $3! We are definitely looking forward to more great food along the way!
Not much else to report yet, today we are flying to the Galapagos Islands and are really looking forward to our 10 day boat tour! We will make another update in a week or so after the tour ends.
